Who can attend a pole dance class?
Any woman of any age or fitness level, with or without any previous dance experience is welcome! Classes are designed to suit the needs and abilities of the student, encouraging you to progress at your own pace. Lessons are private, so they can be created for each student’s ability level and needs.
How do I schedule a class?
Visit the "Schedule a Lesson" tab on my website. There you will find instructions on requesting a lesson! You'll complete a form with the day/time of your lesson request based on availability provided on the calendar. The instructor will send you a confirmation email to acknowledge the scheduling of your lesson.
How long do classes last?
Classes are composed to provide one hour of instruction. Based on availability, the studio space is available to be scheduled for practice sessions.
How frequently should I schedule classes?
Most students benefit from one to two lessons per week. Practice and strength building outside of class leads to success during class.
What do should I wear to class?
Wear something that you are comfortable in so that you can freely move around. Yoga pants, shorts, tank tops, or sports bras are great for pole classes. Heels are optional. For silk hammock or lyra classes, plan to wear yoga pants and a sleeved shirt. For belly dance classes, hip scarves and veils are available or you can bring your own. For Latin dance classes, ballroom dance shoes with a heel height of 1-2 inches are encouraged.
Is there nudity?
No, there is no nudity in class.
Is there a weight limit for the poles?
The studio is equipped with X-Poles. X-Poles do not have an official weight limit. X-Poles have had 2 dancers 250lbs+ on a single pole and it is completely secure. X-Poles are professional grade poles that are very stable and you can do the most advanced moves/tricks on them.
Do I need to own a pole to take a pole class?
No, you do not need to own a pole. Practice time is available to students who do not have a pole.
